LV EQUIPMENT BV

LV Equipment, a Dutch based wholesale company, supplies products to end users from military & police entities. Distribution is made to NATO, government bodies direct, or through commercial entities in the EC. LV was founded in 1985 as a wholesale company and has been distributing outdoor specialist gear until 2008. Many government bodies, both military and police, have purchased Berghaus Tactical load carrying systems the past years:

Not in the last place because of background and experience of its founder. The knowledge and understanding of military & police requirements and the ongoing demand for high performing products in the field of carrying systems (rucksacks), clothing, footwear and accessories has led to the decision to change the organization in 2008, focusing solely on military & police gear. LV has an exclusive license agreement with Berghaus Ltd. in the UK for the distribution of Berghaus Tactical products throughout the Europe, Middle East & Africa. The license agreement allows LV to develop specific carrying systems for the military & police. Berghaus has over fifty years’ experience regarding rucksack making. Combined with the knowledge LV has about the needs of military & police operators, a unique platform has been created for building highly functional and extremely durable carrying systems. Over the years a number of high performing brands have become partners from LV. Today LV offers besides Berghaus Tactical load carrying systems a comprehensive package of individual specialised combat equipment covering footwear, combat & protective clothing, multi spectral camouflage, sleeping bag systems, lightweight (winter)tents, pulka’s and complete ski sets for alpine and back country skiing.

Greetings From the Owners

We, Leen and Gilles Vroegop, father and son, are the owners from LV Equipment BV (LV), 50% each through our holding companies.

Gilles joined LV in 2007 after working a number of years in an outdoor specialist store and has been involved in sales at LV from the start. Gilles is now heading a team of five Account Managers all actively demonstrating and selling individual combat equipment. Besides other responsibilities Leen’s main task is product development.

Leen, founder of LV, has been building the business since 1979. Over the years the company changed names and legal status. LV has been importing and distributing high end outdoor equipment until 2007. From then the company took focus on military and police entities. An exclusive license agreement for backpacks with the UK based company Berghaus Ltd. became the start of this new military & police focussed episode. The development, production and supply of military/police Berghaus branded load carrying systems (LCS) became a success. The ideas, driven by the background from Leen, to develop a scalable and modular backpack system was almost immediately adopted by a number of forces in Europe. Belgium, France, Germany, Netherlands and Luxemburg were the first countries who saw the benefit of such a system. The range of backpacks has been widened since. Today a comprehensive backpack system is offered to support infantry- and dismounted units catering for individual combat equipment, heavy weapons like mortars 60 and 81 mm, anti-tank missiles, sniper rifles etc., ammo boxes and medical supplies. All LCS derivatives are based on one modular carrying system.

Exposure at trade shows created awareness from other brands seeking partners to sell their outdoor- and combat equipment, but also seeking input to amend products to fit the requirements from regional end users. The know how in the field of high end outdoor equipment from both Leen and Gilles bears its fruits. Civilian A-brand (camping)products are amended to become military or dual use equipment. LV now also represents a number of high end brands partially for Benelux or Europe. Current partner brands can be found on our website.
